...***INTRO*** My DVD copy of Ring of Bright Water came free with the Daily Mail (They often have these sorts of freebies). The film a comedy/drama was released in 1969 by ABC motion pictures. It is directed by Jack Couffer and is based on a book by Gavin Maxwell. It stars Bill Travers and Virginia Mckenna the stars of the now famous "Born Free", with Mij the Otter and "Jonnie". The sound Dolby digital. The film is Universal - suitable for all, the playing time for my DVD 102 minutes. ***THE STORY*** Graham Merrill (Travers) buys an otter from a London pet shop. The otter (Mij) captures the heart of Merill. It does not take long for Graham to realise London is no place for the otter and decides to leave for the tranquillity of the Scottish Highlands and cottage life. ...Released in 2004 by Right Entertainment "Postman Pat in a muddle" is an ideal dvd for any postman pat fan, it is based on the original stories by ivor wood and books by Jonh cunliffe, postman pat is a rural postman who helps out his friends in the village of greendale. certificate Uc it is suitable for all the family altough lets face it not alot of grown ups are going to watch it if the kids arent around. All the classic characters are here with a few new extras. theres obviously pat and a newly animated jess, mrs. goggins, ted glen, reverend timmns, and ms. hubbard, new characters include major forbes who owns garner hall. the animation is slightly updated since the originals but has lost none of its appeal. Advantages: Brilliant music and an excellently polished live performance.
Disadvantages: Lacking in quantity of extras but what is there is excellent.

...section that shows the very raw and emotional quality of Monahan’s voice. A track that is so much more than just a filler on an DVD where every track is a highlight. It’s a track that’s hard to dislike from a band who rarely disappoint. The next track starts with a funny intro before hand as Pat says he is going to perform a song which the crowd wont have heard before as it is new. This is very sarcastic as the tune they are about to play is “Meet Virginia” which was the song that shot them slowly into the limelight and enabled them to start touring. It’s brilliant track and was the opener on their first album. With funny lyrics and a jumpy beat this track is what got me into their earlier stuff and since then I’ve been hooked. "Mississippi" is the next track on the DVD with a relaxed and mellow tune, which proves to be one of the better... Read review
