I am a mature (but not too mature) guy who loves computers. Despite loving computers I still much prefer humans especially those who are close to me.

This DVD is so very different from anything you are likely to come across anywhere else! There is obviously no script, the language is fairly lucid for most of the time and there are scenes showing things which other shows would edit out such as the pets shitting or puking on the floor.
Despite this I found the programmes hugely entertaining due to the variety and sheer normality of it all. So many of the current "reality" TV shows are blatently scripted and hammed up and it makes a refreshing change to see people act as you would expect them to react. Have no fear, this is not an ordinary family and with the Prince of Darkness as the father, a crazy mother as his wife and manager plus two kids who do their best to cause mayhem there is never time to get bored. I felt sorry for the girl who helped out at the home looking after things when the parents were away!
There are a total of 10 episodes which is all of series 1 plus a number of special features which comprise of various items including conversations with family members and games. Total running time is 210 minutes which for me is about right.
The episodes are on two DVD's with all of the special features being contained on the second disc.
Anyone that buys this is likely to know Ozzy Osbourne but you may well be surprised by what you see. This is not the maniac he portrays on the stage but a very caring and sensible father (most of the time!). There are brief instances where insanity rules ok but that is generally when he has been provoked but noisy neighbours etc.
His wife Sharon is less likely to be known to you and she gave me the biggest surprise. She goes from sensible manager to insane wife in the twinkling of an eye although she will give you more than a few laughs along the way.
Not surprisingly the kids, being brought up in such a madhouse have developed their own traits. Kelly is the oldest and is a very independant young lady who says what she means in no uncertain terms! I am surprised that Ozzy has not gone bald through worry due to this one... Jack is a year younger than Kelly but is equally independant albeit in a different way. He is determined to built his own career rather than hang onto the coatails of his father. As the episodes progress you can see him building his own record label up. Nice to see a youngster that does not want to scrounge off his parents all his life.
The house is full of pets, mainly dogs but there is at least one cat. The dogs don't seem to be house trained and as a result proceed to make a hell of a mess in the house by shitting on the floor at every opportunity. If I was them I would have dumped them long ago but these are not a normal family are they!
Despite the language and dog mess I found it thoroughly entertaining and shall be buying any subsequent DVD sets and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone providing they are not too young. Please note the set is rated as suitable for over 18 year olds only.
