Classic.........and did you know.......
Review of Jaws (30th Anniversary Special Edition) by hcjv6

Advantages: Absolute classic
Disadvantages: Old maybe a little unapreciated

...Well what can I say about this one - its one of my all-time favourites that I never fail to recommend ! A recent conversation with some work colleagues revealed 3 out of 10 of them had never seen it - I was gob-smacked !!!! It is an original, thrilling, non-dating masterpiece containing slight gore, comedy and suspense. The special effects are not the best but you can't really expect much more from the year it was made. Interesting fact...........did you know that during the making of the first scene of the film where "Chrissie" is attacked, that the crew on the beach pulling the ropes attached to her body, both pulled at the same time in opposite directions and broke a couple of her ribs ??????? You can actually see her screaming "it hurts"...........the producers decided to use that actual scene in the film because... Read review

The Man the Myth
Review of Bruce Lee (30th Anniversary Box Set) by nebcsa17th

Advantages: Great un-cut action
Disadvantages: Ruined my view of "Game of death"

...it. However i was still chuffed with my Bruce Lee collection and it got me very interested in the man himself, and the more i learned the more he intrigue me. His philosophies and methods were inspiring. Then came the film "Dragon" with Jason Scott Lee playing Bruce. The film gave an insight to the way Bruce came up to stardom and wanted so much to share his wisdom and skills with the western world. I still had a yearning however to see the full versions of his movies and was wondering weather i would have to go to China to see for myself, believing that would be the only way. Then came the 30th Anniversary commemorative edition collection. At first a friend at work loaned me one of the discs to watch. It wasnt any of the films but instead on this disc were scenes that would change my opinion of "Game of Death" forever as i can now never... Read review
