I looked forward to the release of this film - I loved the first one and am quite a fan of Eddie Murphy. The special effects are amazing and Eddie played several excellent roles, that cannot be argued. However, there was very little to the story, many of the jokes were only funny first time round, and some of the scenes are a bit too crude for the family audience to which I thought this was targetted. In fact, I'm still not sure who this film was supposed to appeal to. The first "Nutty Professor" was clean and funny and suitable for all ages. The sequel has a few scenes which wouldn't get a laught from a group of 7-year-olds (mutant hamsters, two-headed men) and others that I'd rather not sit through with my mother (namely, the horny grandmother). So, although it was watchable and I chuckled a bit, it wasn't a patch on the first.
