Everything is coming up roses for Professor Sherman Klump (Eddie Murphy). His fiancee, the equally brilliant Denise Gaines (pop music star Janet Jackson), loves him for his...
more...prodigious mind. Sherman's university has just been offered $150,000,000 for the radical new youth serum Sherman has developed. And the big-eating, trash-talking Klump clan (all played by Murphy) couldn't be happier. The only person who can ruin things now is Sherman's nemesis: his idlike alter ego, the smooth-talking, flashy dressing Buddy Love (also played by Murphy). In an attempt to destroy Buddy once and for all, Sherman manages to locate and extract the DNA strand that represents the last remaining trace of his own private Mr. Hyde. But the gene accidentally mutates with a strand of dog hair, giving birth to a brave new Buddy who sniffs out the Klumps. With the help of Academy Award-winning makeup wizard Rick Baker, Murphy magically disappears into multiple roles for uproarious results. NUTTY PROFESSOR II is a hilarious sequel to the 1996 remake.

Nutty Professor 2 – The Klumps

Rated 12

I thought The Nutty Professor was brilliant; it was funny in all the right amounts. It had the right the kind of everything in! I thought that it was a classic film.

Normally when a good film comes out it smashes the box office and when they decide to do a sequel it is probably rubbish, and The Klumps were no exception!

Right from the start you could tell that it was going to be rubbish, the camera zoomed in through the clouds to a church where Sherman and Denise (Janet Jackson) were getting married. How obvious was this a dream?
Then all of a sudden everything goes wrong and the wedding is in ruins, not the best start to a movie but that was one of the good bits!

Sherman Klump (Eddie Murphy) keeps getting flash backs from the last encounter
and is ruining his life and he has to try and conquer him the whole way through.

The film is really based on the same thing really, Sherman Klump and his beautiful girlfriend find an amazing formulae that can kill age and turn you back to your wonder years.

Of course the principle wants all the credit and money from Sherman and Denise.
Meanwhile Sherman is desperately trying to get rid of Buddy Love from inside his body by killing the gene he occupies.

Unfortunately all of Sherman’s knowledge is in this Buddy gene and slowly but shortly he begins to go dumb.
So throughout this film he is trying to sell the formulae to a pharmaceutical company, while going dumb, and while trying to get rid of Buddy.

I found that Sherman’s family in the first film were in it just enough of the time to be funny, they were in it so much this time that you couldn’t tell what they were saying, they became boring and defiantly not funny. They were in it too much and we hardly ever saw Buddy Love.

I also thought that in the first film Buddy was quite normal at first and then got quite crazy. In this one he was just stupid all the time, he just kept screaming and it made it look terrible.

I think you can probably guess what will happen in the movie, because I am not going to give it away!
I thought that this film went way over the top and needs to be calmed down a lot.
I did not like this film at all and if you had the same taste in films the way I do then I would steer clear!

Hoped you’ve enjoyed reading because I enjoyed writing!
Thanks
