Advantages: I want this to happen to me. IT'S FREE Disadvantages: The woman's acting is really crap the rest were fine though
...THIS DVD I FOUND OUT THE COPYRIGHT FOR IT IS OUT-OF-DATE OR SOMETHNG AND YOU CAN DOWNLOAD IT LEGALLY FOR FREE.
So this is one of the original Zombie flicks. It's made in the days when zombies were zombies slow walking and murderous and a bit stupid. Not like todays versions were zombies are running all over the show making us Livies look really unfit. It's all that fruit and fibre people are eating it's affecting their afterlife and all. The plot ... ...attacked by a zombie and the brother gets killed. She runs away and into this abandoned house were she meets this otehr guy whose also running from zombies. He boards up the house whilst she gets on like a wee whinging cow avoiding doing any work and then they find out some people are holding out in the basement.
They then try and survive and escape etc. The main charcter Ben is great and does exactly what you want him to do (you'll see whatI mean ...

Advantages: Good Gore, Decent Acting, Disadvantages: Weak Script
...sharp, with plenty of flesh-rotting detail to wince at. The soundtrack is a vast improvement over the flat and lifeless 1990s VHS release that came in a double pack with the spoof Return of the LivingDead.
The DVD offers quality rather than quantity in terms of extra features. The best is The Dead Walk featuret. Anyone who is a fan of the original Night of the LivingDead will find some interesting comments on that production, as well as the remake. Important crew members ended up working on both movies and compare and contrast each version. The feature was made in 1999, as was the commentary by director Tom Savini. The commentary is very good, Savini seems comfortable talking about his creation and it shows. He is generally enthusiastic and informative giving us plenty of information and quite a few anecdotes. There are very few...

Advantages: A genuine cult classic, immensely influential Disadvantages: some of the acting and dialogue sucked
...films superior than all the inferior clones which have spawned since the original NIGHT OF THE LIVINGDEAD freaked out film-goers almost 40 years ago. I hope you all take the time to discover the one and only original NIGHT OF THE LIVINGDEAD, which defines the term "cult film" in every way---and remains as chilling, intense and insightful as ever.
The original, uncut, 1968 version has been released on DVD dozens of times by different companies and in different formants. I do not recommend to all you zombie completists on obtaining the 30th Anniversary Edition by Anchor Bay; they remove 15 minutes of footage and put in another 15 minutes of newly shot footage, which just ruins the experience for first-time viewers and is simply offensive for repeated viewings by NIGHT fans. That 30th anniversary edition was simply an excuse to invent...

...Zombie movies. Say it once and believe in your nightmares. Believe that the dead can walk the earth and make appetisers out of your pancreas. That only destroying the brain can stop the onslaught of reanimated corpses from tearing your flesh from your bones and licking the bloody tendons they peel from your legs.
Feeling off? Read no further. In fact, don’t read the preceding paragraph. Oops – too late. Heh heh.
So zombie lovers – are you ready to experience one of the true classics in restored black & white DVD glory? Then come with me now (steady!) as we turn out the lights for...Night Of The LivingDead. In stereo!

DVD Description
In director George Romero's NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, seven people secluded in a Pennsylvania farmhouse face relentless attacks by reanimated corpses seeking to eat their flesh. The group, which includes a married couple and their daughter, a pair of young lovers, and an African American man, try to keep their sanity as the living dead try endlessly to enter the house until they are laid to rest by burning or a severe blow to the head. As they listen to news reports of the zombie plague taking over the eastern United States, the ever-decreasing band of survivors loses ground in their battle to both keep peace with one another and stay alive. Romero's low-budget, homegrown classic went from being unable to find a distributor to becoming one of the most influential horror films of all time. Aside from its visceral impact years before realistic gore became the fashion, the film is also important for its portrayal of a black man as the protagonist during a time when race relations were an extremely sensitive issue in the United States. Romero's choice for the ending of his film also made a shocking and bold statement about the issue.
