Advantages: lots of different and favourite nursery rhymes Disadvantages: graphics a bit basic - but good enough for kids
...Yes, Bananas in pyjamas! Next in my nieces collection of DVD's, (she is so spoilt! all we had when we were young was a hand me down wooden noah's ark set with half the animals being either widowed, cyclops or having no eyes left at all).
Any way, This bananas in pyjamas dvd is aimed at 1 months to 6 year olds. It features all the favourite nursery rhymes including incy wincy spider, little miss muffet and little bow peep. Theres also a good extra section on the dvd.
A classic bunch, B1 and B2 still loved by the youth of today. However i do have issues with thier morals, encouraging children to run around all day in their bed wear - not very socially acceptable in todays world. And does raise the question - what do they wear at night? - normal clothes, a suit and tie, jeans? .... ? one can only wonder!

We then move a year later and Nick is just about getting through each day the best way he can, but he is still experiencing memory flashes of the last moments he spent with Julie and his friends. His work is suffering and he is subject to seizures and violent headaches from which he almost collapses each time these occur. These attacks tend to occur especially when he is looking at pictures in which he...

Advantages: Quite funny, interesting social commentary of the time Disadvantages: Wendy Craig's character quite annoying
...though, it would definitely be My Family – I just think it works better than Butterflies and, although it has got very silly recently, the original actors at least are all strong, whereas those in Butterflies just don’t seem to quite gel together.
Unusually for a sitcom from this era, there are extras included on the DVD. There is an interview with Carla Lane, which I found really interesting – she now lives in the middle of nowhere and tends to keep away from people as far as she can – no more celebrity parties for her. Then there is also a section on the main actors’ filmographies and another one including production notes. The latter was quite interesting; for example, the theme tune is based on the original Dolly Parton one, but sung by Clare Torry, who is best known for her singing on the Pink Floyd album, The Dark Side of the Moon...
