Advantages: Gripping, edge of seat material Disadvantages: subtitled, and offbeat humour and acting
.... The emotional scenes in the aftermath of the creatures carnage seem very far fetched though, but then I suppose that's down to some offbeat humour, and overacting as expected from korean flicks. The subtitles can, at times, be hard to keep up with, so ideal if you watch in a quiet room with no distractions. If I spoke Korean, I probably would have loved it!
You get the same nail biting feel as you would watching a Jaws movie, but the offbeat acting and humour of a korean flick, which I can't name because their so offbeat that I can't even remember them. However, if you can see by the offbeat humour, you'll enjoy the action and suspense this flick has to offer!
Two disc DVD contains the Feature & trailer on disc one, and the making of The Host on disc two. This includes: deleted scenes, designing the creature, film story boards, puppet animatronix...

Advantages: A thrilling sci-fi adventure Disadvantages: You'll only get full value from it if you've seen Firefly
...Plot
Joss Whedon shows us exactly why Firefly should not have been canceled in this outstanding film. With enough back story to allow people who haven't seen the series to enjoy the film, Serenity covers what happens in the Firefly universe after the tv series has ended.
Join Mal (Captain Malcom Reynolds) and his mis-matched crew as they fight for their survival as outcasts from mainstream society. Simon and River Tam are on the run - River has escaped from a government institution that operated on her brain and she has information which they don't want to be made public - information that is making River insane.
None of the crew is a hero - they don't want to be involved in a crusade against authority and repression - but it's their only choice if they want to survive.

Advantages: An amazing film that should be owned by everyone Disadvantages: None
...it, but it always has me tensed up when watching it! I also love the song 'Stand by me' from the movie, by Ben E.King, because although I'm a 'Rock n' Roll' chick at heart, this is one of my all-time favourite tracks.
If you haven't already seen this film then I definitely recommend you watch it!
A great film to have, that's not out of place in anyone's DVD collection.
