The Music Live At The Blank Canvas
Review of The Music Live At Blank Canvas by  helen666

Advantages: High-energy groove-dance-rock-funk music - fantastic band!
Disadvantages: Mostly their old stuff - I'd like to hear some of their new songs live.

..." on "Welcome To The North"), and "Jag Tune" which has now become a regular setlist fixture and live favourite despite being a B-side. There's also little interview snippets between some of the songs, which are interesting, although no other extras. The picture and sound quality, as ever with DVD, is great. At times you can't really see the band that well on stage (lots of smoke and lights and stuff...) but they're "all about the music" so it doesn't matter, as long as you can hear them! I quite like the antics of the crowd, as there's quite a few crowd-surfers, and sometimes in the shots taken from the crowd you can see silhouettes of their feet waving about in the air... a good crowd always adds to the viewing experience I think. I'd definately recommend this to current fans, and anyone who is interested - for example, if you like... Read review

Welcome To The Videos
Review of Guns 'n' Roses - Welcome To The Videos DVD by  lizzy8

Advantages: great music videos, like 'November Rain', 'Don't Cry' and 'Paradise City'.
Disadvantages: No extras. A few videos missing that I feel should have been on it.

...to disappointment when the band hit the stage to close out the awards ceremony. Axl Rose was almost unrecognisable, with his dreadlocked hair, and awful plastic surgery. As he ran around the stage he could barley hit the notes he used to, and he was clearly out of breath, out of shape, and out of tune. The once forthcoming Guns 'N Roses album, Chinese Democracy has been plagued by constantly changing release dates and has become something more of an urban legend in the music world, as fans have lost all hope of it ever being released. Judging by the performance on the MTV Video Awards though, perhaps this is maybe for the best, and fans should be left with the great music (and videos) they once made... <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Guns 'n' Roses - Welcome To The Videos DVD, has a collection of 13 music videos...
