David Scott, a man born out of time but a cult for all lovers of intricately crafted songwriting. Across the Milky Way is a shining piece of melodic middle-of-the-road filled with echoes of the golden age of American pop radio--Bread, the Beach Boys, Todd Rundgren--that contains enough quality to transcend its obvious influences. Burt Bacharach hovers over the arrangements, Brian Wilson conducts the harmonies in what is a virtual pop simulator of an album. Highlights include the ebullient "Steady With You", which erupts into a shower-burst of a chorus; the enigmatic "New Stars"; and "We'll Be The Summer", which could be the theme from some lost classic 60s TV show. It might prove too cloying for some but "Across the Milky Way" will taste exquisite to educated palates. --Mike Pattenden

Advantages: Quite cheap, tastes ok Disadvantages: Not the best of the cheap bars, not enough chocolate
I hadn't had a MilkyWay bar in years, but I recently bought one as a snack, while out shopping. I remember liking them as a kid, but to be honest I was a bit disappointed. MilkyWay bars are small chocolate bars made by Mars (not Nestle as shown in the description).
Taste
The MilkyWay is a chocolate coated bar with whipped centre, they don't actually say what it is, but its actually nougat. It is like the soft part of a Mars bar, but lighter and slightly less flavoured, making the nougat light enough to float in water (I don't know why this is important, but they mentioned it on an advert once). I know a couple of people who strongly dislike MilkyWays - mainly due to the texture. So, I don't recommend buying a multipack if you have never tried one before. The fluffy centre is quite nice in my opinion, but becomes sickly ...
Advantages: Creamy, light, delicious chocolate, cheap Disadvantages: They are quick small, so being the pig that I am, I always want another!
If you want a light, delicious, chocolately snack, then I recommend putting this chocolate 'bar' to the top of your list.
Designed in a blue and white wrapper, with the legenday 'MilkyWay' logo, you can find this confectionary in newsagents and supermarkets, although they definitely aren't are widely distributed as a few years ago. I generally find these are easily found in small, independent newsagents rather than your big Tescos and Asda superstores (I have no idea why, anyone care to enlighten me?).
About five years ago they used to cost a mere 20p! Unfortunately, as things do, the prices went up, and now you can pick them up for about 36p. This is still a lot cheaper than most chocolate bars however.
So what do they consist of? In each wrapper you'll find two rolls of chocolate. Inside these rolls is a layer of wafer, then deeper ...
Advantages: Not as fattening as standard chocolate bars Disadvantages: Bit too pricey for what they are
mikly-way coloured wrapper with a picture of the crispy rolls on the front of the packet. The packet itself is a bit shorter than a standard sized biro pen and it about 2cm wide. The packet itself is easy to tear open.
***APPEARANCE/TASTE***
In one packet you get 2 crispy roll fingers. They are about 8cm long are are covered in a textured milk chocolate all over. They are round in shape and are thicker than a cadburys biscuit finger.
As you bite into the crispy roll, you do get a crisp felling beneath your teeth and this reveals the milky center to the cirspy roll and the biscuit surrounding the crispty center.
It tastes chocolatey but also ahve the lovely milky taste to compliment the chocolate and the crispy layer under-neath the chocolate just adds to the yummy flavour and texture. The texture of the crispy roll is smooth ...
