Advantages: BRILLIANT! Disadvantages: sat to close to the screen and hurt my neck
...Simply one of the classiest films I have seen since Donnie Brasco. The acting is really very good and you become so involved in the story that you never predict the twist at the end! Also it is not neccesarily just a tweaking and repackaging of Lock Stock or Snatch it truly stands alone. While it does have some very good camera effects like slo mo's or speed ups, it does not rely on them as much as the aforementioned films. The story is pretty original and the casting is brilliant. It is also not overly violent, dont get me wrong it is violent but not to the extreme when you just feel sick. I don't want to say too much about the story line but involves drugs and the theme of the movie is the shift from 'good honest' crime like armed robbery to the easy money in drugs. Alot of the actors will be familliar faces as they are on British...

Advantages: Johnny Depp acts his coolness yet again Disadvantages: All good adventures need to come to an end some day
...Johnny Depp plays James Barrie, the author of children's classic ''Peter Pan''. It is based by the inspiring true story of James Barrie himself and the experiences he had whilst writing Peter Pan.
We go back to the time when James spends most of his days in the Park writing endless scripts for upcoming theatre productions. His last performance was unsuccessful so now he's thinking of some new ideas and themes that may attract others.
On his travels he starts chatting to one of Mrs Davis's sons and before we know it he's fully acquainted with her and her family. Mrs Davis's husband died not so long ago and her children are not yet past the greiving stage. However they soon grow very fond of Mr Barrie, too fond that he ends up spending more time with them and neglecting his wife.
Her family inspires him so much that he...

Advantages: All About Eve is an absolute classic of the era Disadvantages: A strange mismatched boxed set im my opinion
...success of Davis's 60's cult classic 'Whatever happened to Baby Jane?' Directed by Robert Aldrich- the same director of her other horror hit, it tells the story of Charlotte, and her cousin played excellently by Olivia De Havilland. The film starts in the Deep South, 1927. A family party is being thrown by a plantation owner, and Charlotte is befriending a local boy. However, he does not want her, and the audience sees the gruesome sight of his head rolling down a staircase. Time then passes and Charlotte's cousin Miriam arrives, but even in old age Charlotte seems haunted by her past...and was it really her that killed her boyfriend?
Overall, I feel this film is a poor comparison to Aldrich's other horror efforts. Thought both Davis and De Havilland turn in good performances it is not particularly memorable. Eerily filmed in black and white...
