Boosh... Written by and starring Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt The Mighty Boosh is an off-the-wall adventure based on their Perrier Award-winning comedy show. Howard and Vince two workers in a run-down zoo are often called upon to put their jobs before their pride. That means dressing up as animals and sitting in cages because their boss American entrepreneur Bob Fossil can barely afford any real animals (or even remember what species they are). Vince - amazing hair in tow - accepts the situation happily quite in contrast to his grandiose tweed-wearing colleague Howard Moon - who's either full of self-delusion or in a "jazz trance". But their jobs involve much more than just dressing up. From freeing mutant animals engineered in a secret laboratory underneath the zoo to fighting a kangaroo to raise money for their dilapidated workplace Howard and Vince always find themselves at the centre of some very strange events. With some wonderful supporting characters such as Dixon Bainbridge - the upper-class bully-boy - and the spaced-out shaman Naboo (forever thinking about that job at Dixons) The Mighty Boosh throws in animation film references and musical numbers to create one of the best comedy shows of the last 10 years - get involved! Episodes comprise: 1. Killeroo 2. Mutants 3. Bollo 4. Tundra 5. Jungle 6. Charlie 7. Electro 8. Hitcher

SERIES ONE howard and vince, work in a run-down zoo called the zooniverse, overseen by retarded american Bob Fossil, can't afford any real animals, forcing howard and vince on the odd occasion to dress up as animals to fill up the zoo. Vince accepts the situation happily (for how can you be unhappy when wearing a poncho?), quite in contrast to his tweed-wearing jazz-funk loving colleague. vince, the mick jagger worshiper who calls himself 'mogli in flares', has the abilty to talk to animals, which provides much of the comedy in this first series, whilst uptight howard 'the monsoon moon' prefers to think of himself as a suffering, yet brilliant artist and musician. the banter between these two is just brilliant. so inventive and random...you could amost die laughing. other great characters are naboo the enigma, a shaman who works at the zooniverse sovenier shop, and bollo his gorilla familiar. from battling mutant animals engineered in a secret laboratory underneath the zoo, fighting a kangaroo, getting lost in the jungle with a man made of cheese, dancing with polar bears, bubble gum mosters, and the ape of death, howard and vince always find themselves at the centre of some very very very strange and bizarre events. Series 1 Episodes 1. Killeroo 2. Mutants 3. Bollo 4. Tundra 5. Jungle 6. Charlie 7. Electro 8. Hitcher
SERIES TWO howard and vince have left the zoo and are now free to embark on a whole new set of bizarre adventures. in search of fame and fortune, things don't quite work out as planned as they end up in more comedic shannanigans. kidnapped by the mythical Yeti, battling the evil Betamax bandit and abducted by old gregg the merman of the Black Lake, talking coconuts and old grannies who can destroy the world! this series, like the first continues to have fantastic little song interludes (written be the pair) and creatively surreal animated sequences, making the mighty boosh one of the best cult comedy programs of all time. its just a shame they didn't do anymore. Series 2 Episodes 1. The Call of The Yeti 2. The Priest and the Beast 3. Nanageddon 4. Fountain of Youth 5. The Legend of Old Gregg 6. The Nightmare of Milky Joe

Advantages: Pure genius, great value for money Disadvantages: None
...Barratt and Noel Fielding make the perfect unlikely pairing as they star in The Mighty Boosh. With Mike Fielding, Dave Brown and Rich Fulcher also starring in most episodes, particularly series 2, the journey is a thoroughly enjoyable one as Howard Moon and Vince Noir find themselves in all sorts of weird and wonderful situations, often needing Naboo the Enigma and Bollo, Naboo's familiar to get them out of trouble.
Series 1 is set in Bob Fossil's ... ...in these episodes, and in the first episode, Killeroo, Bob Fossil makes Howard fight the deadly kangaroo, which he refuses to do until Vince convinces him that it will make Mrs Gideon fall for him. Howard the Jazz Maverick and Vince King of the Mods go through many different experiences in the Zoo, and this does not chnage in series 2. In series 2, the Zooniverse is no more and Howard, Vince, Naboo and Bollo now live together in a flat in Dalston ...

Advantages: Very funny, clever, surreal, quotable, some cool costumes, more true-to-life than other series. Disadvantages: Has a big indie fanbase, feels a little bit last-year.
The Mighty Boosh follows the surreal adventures of Zookeepers Howard Moon (Julian Barratt) and Vince Noir (Noel Fielding.) Series one is in my opinion, the best of the three, focusing mostly on the complex love\hate relationship between Howard and Vince, particularly the banter between them, rather than bizarre characters found mostly in the second series, or numerous references to indie-culture in the third. Thankfully, I was one of the few who ... ...Noel Fielding is. The show is definitely the most surreal sitcom around, comparable in places to early Reeves and Mortimer. Although The Boosh is not often laugh-out-loud funny, it seems to become more amusing the more times you watch or think about it, especially series one, as it seems to have a great deal more well-layered two-way dialogue, the main reason that it is worth owning on DVD, moreso than than two or three. There are a fantastic array ...

Advantages: Extremly funny, genius comedy and something you'll watch over and over again! Disadvantages: I guess not enough of it but I'm just a greedy fan, I want more!!!
...through time and space....' is the opening line to the shows theme tune and it pretty much describes the whole show perfectly. Vince Noir (Noel Fielding-hilarious stand-up comedian who ive had the pleasure of watching :D) and Howard Moon (Julian Barratt...ummm... :D) take you on an adventure every episode, whether its the Arctic Tundra or to Monkey Hell they've got it all down!!
Along the way you'll meet many hilarious side characters for The Hitcher- ... ...thumb, to Bob Fossil the ecentric 'secretly' gay head zoo keeper who likes to rub his nipples. Many of the characters are played by Noel or Julian and through each one their comical genius shines through. You completly froget your looking at the same actor that you saw as a different character in the last scene and just get taken on a roller coaster of non-stop laughs. It is definately one of those shows that you either love or hate. As soon as I ...

Advantages: Excellent comedy from two of the surreal modern day comedy writers Disadvantages: If you dont get it you will hate it
The might boosh follows the adventures of Howard Moon and Vince Noir in there mystical journeys through space and time (think improvised musical theater on acid). The two main characters contrast completely, Howard being a bland, tweed wearing, jazz lover; and Vince being a slightly insane, very unconventional, "rock and roll superstar"; often sporting some of the most ridiculous costumes on TV (A glittery all over spandex body suit to name but one), ... ...The two are constantly in competition with each other generally with Howard trying his hardest to achieve something great, and Vince somehow stealing all recognition through a mix of complete luck and his natural charm, Howard's problems are not helped by the lack of respect shown to him by almost every character on the show. The witty banter between the two and Howard,s constant failings make for great viewing though and the beauty of the show really ...

...humour, then this series is the one for you. I received this Box Set for my birthday, and was hooked all the way through series one and series two. Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt make a perfect twosome, and with Noel' s brother Mike as Naboo, and a talking gorilla too, you couldn't ask for more.
Each episode presents us with another outlandish scenario. Classic moments include the boxing kangaroo, Nanageddon, Old Gregg and of course, my favourite, ...
