Neo (Keanu Reaves) has fallen asleep with his head on his computer, When he suddenly wakes to find a message on his computer screen saying “the matrix his you, follow the white rabbit". Still half-asleep Neo is then woken by a knock at the door. It’s some of his friends wanting to buy a disc. (Neo is an office worker by day and a computer hacker by night. They ask him to join them for a drink down at a club. Neo is just about to refuse when he notices a white rabbit tattooed on a girl’s shoulder. So he decides to go along. When he gets there he finds Trinity (Carry-Anne Moss) waiting for him. She says “I know what you’re looking for, I know why you spend hours at your computer and I know why you live alone. You’re looking for him”.
Neo asks “what is the matrix”
Trinity replies “all I can tell you is that you’re in great danger”.

Are you still following the storyline, its a hard film to explain.

Right let me tell you about the Agents, these are men wearing sunglasses dressed in suits trying to stop Neo from finding out what the matrix is. They are like robots, powerful machines of artificial intelligence that have made the world as we see it, Which is all a hoax.

Morphous (Laurence Fishburne the leader of the rebellion against the agents) helps Neo escape the agents and helps him find the answer to his question.
Morphous says” know one can tell you what the matrix is you must see it for yourself”.
Neo then has to make a choice. He can take a blue pill and wake up safely in his bed and forget everything or he can take a red pill and see what the matrix is.
Neo decides to take the red pill and is suddenly unplugged from the hoax world he was living in and finds himself on Morphous's space ship. Where the time is more like 2021, the sky is scotched and the world is black and empty.

The matrix is a computer-generated dream world built to keep us under control in order to change a human into fuel for the Agents (robots) to feed of off.

When the matrix was set up, there was thought to have been a chosen one to be born into it who could defeat the agents and crake the code to the matrix. Morphous has been searching for the chosen one all his life now he thinks he’s found him, he thinks it’s Neo.

Neo and Morphous lead the fight to free human kind in the matrix cyberthiller that you will enjoy watching again and again.

This film is absolutely mind blowing, with excellent visuals, mega Kun fo action, amazing stunts and more. The special effects are completely off of this planet. There's 3 special "making of documentaries: "what is bullet time", "Do you know kung fo" and "Government Lobby". These show you how the sets were made and how the stunts were put together. There is one scene where the concrete posts are all made of polystyrene so when they're shooting it looks brillian, like bits of concrete are flying everywhere.
