...There is a number of disney films that I enjoy watching very much, to test this I watch them all and repeat it. The test shows my film of favourite was the lion king. My review here is not written with a corner off of one film but all 3 lion king films. It is without any trouble that I will thus tell you that the films are of a fantastic dimension. Nevertheless the idea of having lions in a film along with nature; will give you a pleasant change from watching humans. I bought the Lion King on 5 discs and its an installation of a DVD trilogy : 3 movies with 2 special feature discs. Advantages: Stunning scenery
Disadvantages: Nothing

...sets your mind at rest that this will be an excellent film, not a comedy, like most talking animal type films. The setting, in East Africa, is beautiful as well. Filmed in the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania the rock collections the pride like to laze by, coupled with the sheer dry heat, shimmering from the sand is intoxicating and almost lulls you into a false sense of security for them. You easily feel part of this group of lions in an extremely weird way, and I don’t mean you feel like a lion, but simply you feel comfortable and at ease with the pictures on the screen. Talking or not, everything is as it should be. It is not surprising to me that this film won an award for Best Visual Effects - Digital Effects at the 2005 RTS Television Awards, as it truly is superb. Advantages: gives you a fluttery feeling insde last recieved during childhood when the original was first released.
Disadvantages: can be a let down in terms of the pedestool you placed the first film on!

...A must for all childhood Lion King fans, this film offers you the chance to travel back to your youth and childhood days. Although lacking some of the excitement felt as a 5 year old watching the emotion tugging original its full of action and excitement that will leave you feeling young again. The new characters are good and add a little extra to the film with old favourites still included. The music lets it down with little resemblence to the original's magnificant sing along songs and is obviously lacking Elton John who was a highlight of the original. Howvere it is still a good choice for a sunday afternoon on front of the TV with the children. Overall a good film for children, teenagers and parents alike who want some easy watching and nostalgia!... Read review
