The BritishMuseum is not, as the name might suggest, a museum about Britain, but rather the national museum in Britain. It covers all areas of the world and has artifacts from all periods.
HISTORY:
Originally founded by Sir Hans Sloane who left his vast collection of artifacts to the crown to create a museum. The museum was founded by Act of Parliament in 1753. The building as we see it now was constructed in the 19th century, with the Great Court being added in 2000. The museum now attracts around 5 million visitors a year.
ACCESS:
Although the museum is very central there is no tube specifically for it (there was at one time but this has long since closed). The nearest tubes are Russell Square (Piccadilly line) and Tottenham Court Rd (Central and Northern lines). The no. 7 bus from Oxford St also stops outside ...
This was a nice suprise this film.
Ben stiller who palys one of the lead parts is looking for a job, because he lost his last one, and he sees that there is a job at the museum.
He applies for the job and gets it, but, he thinks it is going to be easy, and when he starts he is given a manual, which is is surpose to read, which he doesn't
The manual tell him what to do and how to do it and what order to do things. The manual is thrown on the floor.
She starts wlaking around and having a look around the museum just checking things really, and whne he comes back down to the reception area where there is a T-Rex, it has gone, so he starts looking around and shouting people.
Then he see the T-Rex getting a drink from the tap, and he is horrified and thinks he is dreaming.
Eventually the whole museum comes the life ...

Whilst down south staying with my parents, my Dad and I decided to visit the BritishMuseum – despite having visited numerous museums throughout Britain, strangely enough this was one place I had never been to. Opened to the public in 1759, today the BritishMuseum has an attendance of over 5 million visitors a year.
Getting there was easy – the Britishmuseum is located in Bloomsbury, in Great Russell Street to be precise, and the nearest tube station is Tottenham Court Road, which can be accessed from both the central and the northern line. It’s then only a couple of minutes walk to the main entrance of the museum, and it is well signposted, so even if you’re hopeless when it comes to navigation, you can’t get too lost!
