Hi, I'm a student living in the East Midlands area. I'm into reading (very) and an avid movie watcher, so much so I'm studying a degree in film. I'm currently writing my own book, so maybe one day it'll be reviewed on here. Be kind, yeah?

I wanted to like this, I truly did. I like Sean Connery and Stuart Townsend, so I went to the effort of seeing it at the cinema. Though I did subsequently buy this film on DVD, I did wait until it was cheap. The premise is that all of the protagonists from various Victorian literature all get together to fight a common Enemy. We have the invisible man (though not the original), Dracula's Bride, Dorian Grey, Captain Nemo and Jekyl/Hyde. I can't remember who Sean Connery was supposed to be... Perhaps he was just made up for the story. The plot is alright, but Connery is getting a bit old for these sorts of roles and Townsend's acting was a tad wooden. Mildly entertaining, but not filmic genius by a long way. The main issue I had with it was that it all felt a bit rushed. The film isn't particularly long, and could have done really with being a longer. Watchable, but nothing special.
