The Land Before Time has been made into a series of movies, each lasting about 70minutes running time. The first one was released in 1988 and the sequels about 2 years after. Now avalible to own on DVD, you can have the classic & the ultimate Dinosaur equialent of Bambi in your collection.
Having rambled through and enjoyed, may I add. The first second and so on films in the legendary Classic Kids film series ''the land before time'', I shall now embark upon the task of informing you of the viewing joys of the 6th movie from Littlefoot and his gang of young dinos in The Great Valley.
The story follows littlefoot and the gang, this time on a search after Dinah and Dana who have run away on a 'fun' adventure to search for the mysterious Saurus Rock. After they hear the story of a legendary dinosaur that defended the land years before. Littlefoot is sure that when a strange brontosaurus named Doc wanders through town, this is him. Together Littlefoot, Cera, Spike, Ducky and Petrie, together with a little help from Doc, they venture out to find Dinah and Dana and bring them home. Although only 3 songs in the entire movie, it still tells a good story and teaches a good lesson about respect for elders and also for each other, also being brave is not always a good thing. A fantastic film, and a good one if you don't like sing-a-long songs that can often waste time of the film.

Overall 4 star rating, like the rest in the series very good storyline dispite the basic graphics, that makes you want to cry at times, teamed with songs that are enjoyable and help structure the progression of the dinosaurs adventure. This, although 6th in the film series, is one of my favourites, probably because I adore Kris Kristofferson, who voices the new character, Doc the brontesaurus in this one.
