The Ladykillers DVD

Advantages: Good story and plot, great characters, funny, good actors, unusual
Disadvantages: None for me but probably too gentle and old fashioned for many.

...of the movie, as it lacked an 'X-factor'. It's one of those movies where it was good, but not good enough to see it a second time. Oh and I don't know if I'm stupid, but why is the movie called ladykillers? There aren't really any ladies killed in this movie?... Read review

Advantages: Very funny, a film for everyone

...The LadyKillers stars Tom Hanks as a charming professor, who is the leader of a bunch of dim-witted criminals brought together to rob a casino. The gang consists of 5 members. The professor masterminds the operation and just generally watches over it. Three of the other members each add a skill to the group, either brute strength, demolition skills or drilling skills. The remaining member is purely in the group as he has a job in the casino and so provides the group with inside information and such like. The plan is to drill into the casino's underground offices. But to do this the criminals need somewhere to drill a tunnel from. The professor chooses the basement of one of the houses along a road nearby.
