...IF YOU LIKE JOHN WAYNE FILMS OR WESTERNS THIS IS A GREAT FILM TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION. U.s. marshal cahill has two sons who are left to there own devises and end up in big trouble with some real bad guys. the marshell is hopeing thay will tell him whats going on. he ends up getting a friend to help him catch the bad guys and to teach them a lesson. and it works .this is the film when john wayne says the famous words ( GET OFF YOUR HORSE AND DRINK YOUR MILK). even if you are not a fan you must of heard this saying. but dont take my word for it rent or buy a copy. even if you dont like it i am sure you will find someone to give it too as a prezzie.... Advantages: this dvd shows john wayne at the start of his rise to fame
Disadvantages: the movie is in b/w which will not appeal to everyone

...i have watched this film many times and for me it never ages. this story has romance action drama and sadness. although this movie has been remade twice this remains the best of them all. true john wayne fans and those just descovering the duke for the first time will like this movie, to the hardened fans its john wayne at his best for the new comers this will show them why john wayne was and still is the duke. the films climatic ending sees the duke facing impossible odds, odds that through the years and his many movies he would face time and time again. this dvd will start you on a journey of discovery as you follow john waynes career through his many movies.... Advantages: Another good John Wayne Western
Disadvantages: Storyline too similar to Rio Bravo for my liking

...I've always loved Westerns, but it's only in the past year or so that I've become a particular fan of all Westerns that feature John Wayne. So I was overjoyed to find that one of his many films was being shown on Saturday afternoon TV last week - and that it was one of the films which I didn't already own on DVD. Being as some smart-ass at BBC Scheduling ensured that it clashed with the Grand National, I recorded the film and sat down a couple of nights ago to watch it. The film is set in Texas at a period just after a war. The story centres around John Wayne's character, a gunman who has been hired by Jason to take on the MacDonald family. MacDonald and his family (three sons and a daughter) own a large piece of land with their own source of water which Jason wants. Of course, Jason hasn't quite put it this way to Wayne, and so...
