The funniest new development in comedy is here...I am a huge fan of many different comedy styles and heard about a new comedy being done based on an IT department and the work they do...working for a company where I phone a helpdesk regularly I know the frustrations of so many of us when we are asked "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" so when I gave this comedy a chance and heard this line I was delighted. This is an amazing comedy show and centres on the working lives of Moss, Roy and Jen (the IT department) who are based in the basement of Renholm Industries huge multi storey tower. Being based in the basement they are all out of touch with how people interact, social aspects to work and how to deal with anybody who comes to them with queries about their phones or computers. The comedy is somewhat absurd in many ways for this but once you have sat down and watched a couple of episodes you find yourself quickly warming to the characters which is impressive and shows just how well the program was thought out as with many comedies it takes quite some time to build the characters but not with this one. This is a comedy which my wifes parents sat and watched with us and loved despite there being swearing in the show as it is not done so the swearing gets the laughs but more so the actual situations get the laughs and the swearing gives a more realistic feel to it and I think this is partly why we warm to the characters so much. If you are open to trying a new show and giving it a chance then welcome Moss, Roy and Jen in to your lives and you will find what so many of the rest of us have found - a charming yet hilarious comedy with nothing you can draw a comparison to.

Advantages: Brilliant, original new comedy from our new generation of young British comedians. Disadvantages: The series is disappointingly short, and would benefit from being twice the length

Advantages: Very strong cast, excellent writing, well-directed and incredibly funny. Disadvantages: a bit too much like Graham Linehan's earlier stuff, formulaic.
