I wasn't convinced that I would like the IT crowd when it was first shown on TV, but I happened to catch an episode on TV the other night and loved it, and I rushed out and bought both series on DVD. It's a shame there aren't more than 6 episodes in a series, but the extras are as hilarious as the show itself! This brand new British comedy is fantastic! It is set in the basement office of a big company, in the IT department and the story follows the lives of the three main characters, Moss, Roy and Jen. I would say that you would enjoy this series if you have liked for example, The Big-Bang Theory. Although the writers also worked on Father Ted and The Office, I was skeptical. I had loved Father Ted, but not got along with the humour in The Office. The DVD features the 6 episodes and some deleted scenes, hidden outtakes and more.

Advantages: Brilliant, original new comedy from our new generation of young British comedians. Disadvantages: The series is disappointingly short, and would benefit from being twice the length
Advantages: Very strong cast, excellent writing, well-directed and incredibly funny. Disadvantages: a bit too much like Graham Linehan's earlier stuff, formulaic.
