When I first saw the IT crowd on TV I thought it wasn't my cup of tea and turned over, but on watching the whole first series with a friend of mine I have to admit, I am hooked!!!
There is something about this series that takes me back to old comodore 64's and I am a bit of a nerd :)
This six episode DVD, follows Jen's initiation into the IT department, having tied through her teeth to her crazy new boss Denham that she knows about computers. She is sent to a dingey basement where she finds a lazy guy called Roy and a computer nerd Maurice - who is my favourite character!!
The answer EVERY CALL with 'hello IT, have you tried turning it off and on again' and have an avertion to fixing any problems! I have worked in an IT deparment and in parts it was so spot on. I have found myself asking that since watching the show!
The slightly disappointing side is that some things are so far fetched or cringy, the down to earth stuff is hilarious but for me hitting someone till they bleed isnt funny. However, it doesn't put me off the rest of it.
It's good to have a show that's laugh out loud funny, like this one is!

Advantages: Brilliant, original new comedy from our new generation of young British comedians. Disadvantages: The series is disappointingly short, and would benefit from being twice the length

Advantages: Very strong cast, excellent writing, well-directed and incredibly funny. Disadvantages: a bit too much like Graham Linehan's earlier stuff, formulaic.
