An excellent British comedy starring hilarious comedians Richard Ayoade (Gareth Marengi's Darkplace, Man to Man with Dean Learner), Chris O'Dowd (Roman's Empire) and Katherine Parkinson with appearances from comedy legend Chris Morris, Noel Fielding (The Mighty Boosh) and Danny Wallace.
Set in the basement of Reynholm Industries, the show is based around the hijinx of the IT staff: Moss (Ayoade) - a 32 year old techno geek with a poor social life, Roy (O'Dowd) - a relaxed (if not lazy) IT engineer who will do anything to avoid work (including creating a tape to answer the phone for him to solve the problems of the staff upstairs). Jen (Parkinson) - the "relationship manager" and head of the IT department whose experiences with computers involves "e-mails, sending e-mails, receiving e-mails, deleting e-mails, mice etc.)
The show has a lot of background references to "geek culture" such as video games, internet phenomenom etc. however this doesn't affect the comedy whatsoever, it even adds to it!
The only disappointing aspect of the show is the length of the series - only 6 episodes. However this would have been expected from a premiere season of a prime time show. However a new series is due Autumn 2007 so fans rejoice!
If you've ever had to help someone with computers then I'm sure you can relate to the characters and that is why I love this show.

Advantages: Brilliant, original new comedy from our new generation of young British comedians. Disadvantages: The series is disappointingly short, and would benefit from being twice the length
Advantages: Very strong cast, excellent writing, well-directed and incredibly funny. Disadvantages: a bit too much like Graham Linehan's earlier stuff, formulaic.
