STORYLINE
The it crowd is a comedy that follows the day to day life of the men (moss and Roy) and woman (jen) that work in the it department a dingy basement of a huge building owned by Reinhold industries.
Episode 1 (yesterdays jam)
This episode introduces you to the characters and sets the seen for the rest of the series. jen is given a job in the it department knowing nothing at all about computers. upon arriving in her new office, she finds two middle-aged computer nerds (moss and Roy). moss and Roy sensing she knows nothing about computers set out to prove it. resulting in great laughs. After this jen is assigned as relationship manager guaranteeing she can raise the it departments popularity.
Episode 2 (calamity jen)
This is by far the funniest episode of them all. It had me laughing for months. The boss declares war on stress, moss sets the office on fire, the emergency services number is changed to 0118999881999118725 3 plus jen buys a pair of shoes 2 sizes to small for her.
Episode 3 (50/50)
In this episode Roy wins a bet that all women love b******* by putting an add on lonely hearts and going on a date with someone. Roy is on a date with a women from the office and has s*** on his forehead. causing his reputation to sink even lower. In addition, jen fancy's the new security guard (Daniel). Moss recommends his favourite restaurant to jen on her date and Roy on his.
Episode 4 (The red door)
Jen is intrigued by a strange red door in the office. Despite warnings from both moss and Roy she opens it to find....
Episode 5 ( The haunting of bill Crouse)
Jen goes on a horrible date with bill and is lucky she was not sharing food because bill had "trouser food". The next day jen tells moss to lie that she is not available just to avoid bill. moss tells everyone she is dead so when bill sees her (after boasting he was the last man to sleep with her lies) alive in a series of very unlucky events causing bill to feel haunted.
Episode 6 ( aunt Irma visits)
moss and Roy feel worthless and ugly the only explanation can be... they have pmt and the only cure is a girly nights in.

Characters
Moss
Moss is a computer nerd that lives with his mum still and has counselling. His mum dresses him and he is subscribed to lonely hearts.
Roy
Like moss works in the basement. Roy is always getting hurt and thinks he's a charmer with the ladies.
Jen
After boasting well it skills in her cv, she is landed with a job in it. this jobs is totally not for her but moss and Roy need her to stop being "social piranhas"

SOUNDTRACK
The soundtrack is ever so catchy and really suits the style of this comedy.

VALUE
There are only six episodes but there are tonnes of deleted scenes and bloopers and even a step-by-step guide comedy on instruction manuals.

ACTORS
ROY- Chris O'Dowd
JEN- Katherine Parkinson
MOSS- Richard Ayoade

EXTRA INFO
144mins long

Directed by Graham Lineham

The company is Renham Industries (run by Denham Renham) and the IT guys are too young to be called middle-aged.

I'm inclined to agree with the comment below - although was a litytle surprised to see so many H's against this review. Film, TV and music are probably the hardes categories to get right here on Ciao - which is why personally, I tend to leave them alone! Richard.

Hiya, thought it might help to let you know why you've got mostly H instead of VH. Well personally, I think it's because although you've done a great job of relating all the technical details to us - you've not really given us your opinion. Might I suggest you add a paragraph somewhere telling us all about why you enjoy this, how you feel about the characters and storylines etc? If you decide to then please do sign my guestbook and I'll re-rate you. Best wishes, Elle x.
