Let me just start by saying The Inbetweeners is a brilliant series and anyone who compares it to skins hasn't go a clue what they are talking about for these reasons;
The Inbetweeners = Brilliant Skins = Crap
The Inbetweeners = Funny Skins = Em?? Crap!!
The Inbetweeners = Good, solid and funny storylines. Skins = Crap nonsensical storylines.
The Inbetweener = Great character, almost like the ones you remember from school Skin = 2D characters, I don't remember meeting anyone like these idiots, do you?
Sorry, had to get that out of my system. Now back to the matter at hand, the brilliant Inbetweeners.
Main theme - Well it's all about the main character will, whose mother can't afford his private school fees anymore so he is sent to a comprehensive school. Not being the coolest of character he associates himself with the best group he can;
Simon - He is obsessed with a girl called Carley and is properly Will best friend of the group, this is because he's a bit more sensitive than Jay and Neil. He's basically your standard 17 year old.
Jay - We all knew or know a Jay. He's rude, a bastard and a pathological liar (especially where shagging girls is concerned ).
Neil - Is the gormless one that still manages to be quite cool somehow, he doesn't have a clue!!!!
Will who also narrates the show, slowly integrates into there little group and the stories are based around the regular events that make up their lives, like a road trip to an amusement park and a party where the cool kids turn up. Sounds pretty boring but luckily nothing ever goes right and chaos always occurs (e.g. Simon being sick on Carley's brothers head after too much booze).
What makes the show so goood is that you can relate it to real life, for example trying to buy alcohol under age, come on we've all done it!!! Not only that though the stories are well written, generally funny and performed by some brilliant actors (and a great dancer in the case of Neil). So to sum up it's about four uncoolish lads trying to fit in. I don't want to go into too much detail in case you ain't seen it, wouldn't want to ruin a great show for ya, although you can watch the episodes over and over.
The DVD - Has all six episodes of the first series. It isn't exactly jammed packed with extras. It only has two deleted scenes and two outtakes. As well as this it has a meet the cast and a making of that are both pretty good. The highlight of the extras though is the video diaries, in which all four of the main cast are given a video camera for a couple of days and just film what they want, James Buckley's (Jay) is funny just for it's pure crapness!!!!!!!
So all I got to say now is BUY THIS DVD!!!!!!!!!!!
