Advantages: good story, lots of action Disadvantages: serious theme, might be unsuitable for very young
Disney's The Hunchback Of Notre Dame was released in 1996 and was directed by Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise. While it was quite different from Disneys previous work, it did well and it is one of my favourite classic Disney movies.
The movie is availabe on DVD between £9 - £17, depending on where you buy it. The cheapest place to buy this movie online is Amazon.co.uk for £9.97
This movie runs at 91 minutes. It's suitable for all ages, however one ... ...I'll leave it up for the parents to decide. I was 10 when I first seen this and I was fine, apart from the FOF scene.
There is quite an extensive list of people who lent their voicing talents for this movie, here are the main ones:
Quasimodo: Tom Hulce
Esmerelda: Demi Moore
Frollo: Tony Jay
Phoebus: Kevin Kline
This movie is set in Paris (as you may have guessed!) and tells the story of the bellringer Quasimodo, who is forbidden by his master ...

Advantages: Enjoyable songs. Disadvantages: Slightly sad for younger viewers in certain scenes.
High up in the bell tower of Notre Dame Cathedral lives a hunchbacked man who rings the bells every morning, wishing he could join the people down there in the streets but his Master Frollo forbids him to ever go down there. When he hears the celebrations of the annual festival of fools, Quasimodo just can't help himself and sneaks out of the bell tower to see the festival...
A smash hit for all ages, showing people that beauty is not just on the ... ...of the Hunchback of Notre Dame and a interactive game controlled by your remote.
The movie has been translated into several languages (Spanish, Portuguese, Hebrew and Greek.) and there are subtitles for people with hearing problems.
I love this movie, the voice actor for Frollo (Tony Jay) was the best singer out of all of the cast and I'm glad I bought this DVD so I can play the songs over and over again. ...

Minister Frollo killed Quasimodo's mother on the steps of Notre Dame and was going to kill Quasimodo but the Reverand of Notre Dame stopped him. The reverand and Frollo made a deal that Frollo would watch over Quasimodo and the reverand would let him stay in the church in the bell tower and ring the bells.

Advantages: great for the faimly Disadvantages: if you don't like animations this may not be for you, but stilll good.
...everyone; romance, tragdey, comedy and the list could go on. The story is set in Paris and the graphics in this film is really good. I don't wanted to give the story away completly but I will tell you that its about a boy who is adoptedby the most eveil person (Frodo) in paris not out of choice but because he kills his mother then he lets the boy grow up in Norte Dame then with the help of a Gypsy Girl he soon learns that everything he had been told ...

Advantages: Usual high class animation Disadvantages: Slightly predictable
...The Hunchback of NotreDame is another fine animation film from Disney. The characters are all well defined, and the storyline typically pitches good against evil with good coming out on top. The music is catchy, and the animation of its usual very high standard. All in all there are no major faults with the film at all, and both children and adults are sure to enjoy it.
However, I do have to confess to being a little disappointed. All the standard Disney fare was included in the film, yet my attention tended to wander from time to time. Maybe it is the fact that is is a familiar story, or possibly because it is a little predictable, but whatever the reason this will never be a favourite film of mine....

Advantages: Amazing CGI, a bunch of well-paid voicing cast and a cat with big eyes. Disadvantages: Not enough understandable humour content for young children
...-landing straight into another definite Oscar nominee spot. It’s nice to see that from the “just a tear away” card, the usual stereotypical role of Jennifer Saunder’s fairy Godmother had a trickier plan up her own sleeve, instead of the crap wand-magic dust we bought as kids. It’s also nice to see that apart from the ‘Hunchback of Notredame’, Shrek 2 was one more animation that used more than just a beautiful size 6 character to promote itself, proud enough to include itself inside a category of Disney-backstabbing films. Like I commented before to my dearest friend once, “It’s not like you usually see a fat b***h playing Cinderella, now do you?” On a downer note, the soundtrack could use a bit of detox, apart from Saunder’s providing an orchestra of wonderful justify-my-arse lyrics, the songs were a bit tad similar to ‘Beauty and the Beast...
