Advantages: Deceptive title of a quality movie Disadvantages: A little silly in places
Don't be put off by the title, and don't expect to see one of those people going up the Amazon and meeting cannibal type movies. Cannibal Man is an intelligent and addictive Spanish movie surrounding a man and his terrible secret, furthermore it's about relationships and struggling with sexuality in a time in Spain's history where its population could not have been as free as it might like. Except for one rather minor level the movie has little to do with cannibalism, and the "man" in question certainly is not a cannibal in the sense that we might understand the title to convey. But something on a deeper level is that until the 1980's Spanish movies failed to satisfy either US or UK audiences, made in 1983 in my opinion this was the best Spanish made up to the period that Spanish movies became more fashionable, and even now is one ...
Advantages: Thought provoking, challenging and evocotive. Will easily cause debate among your peers. Disadvantages: Very violent, exploitative, animal cruelty (uncut version only)
Frequently touted as "the most controversial movie ever made", Ruggero Deodato's 'Cannibal Holocaust' has earned legions of fans on both sides of the fence of acceptability. Some hail it as a modern horror masterpiece and a prime example of the video nasty sub genre; others dismiss it as exploitative, derivative, cruel and sensationalist and to an extent, both groups are right. The film has been mistaken for a snuff movie so many times that Deodato once had to take his entire cast with him to court to prove that they were still alive and this isn't even the thing that the film is most infamous for - the reason why its (allegedly) been banned in over fifty countries, making it the most heavily banned film of all time. Though Deodato hadn't murdered his cast on camera, he did however kill a selection of animals for the film (seven in total ...
Advantages: Great film, acting, story etc. Disadvantages: This is the censored version
Slave of the Cannibal God is yet another one of those films that seems to go by a hundred different names. There's Prisoner of the Cannibal God and The Mountain of the Cannibal God. My version is called Slave of the Cannibal God and if you have this version it is actually a slightly censored one as some of the more grotesque scenes are clearly just pulled out. Anyway it's a 1979 Italian horror cannibal film directed by Sergio Martino a fairly well known giallo director.
The film is all about Susan Stevenson and her brother who have come to New Guinea to find her husband who has gone missing. They enlist the help of a man who had worked with her husband and knows where he went called Edward. He claims her husband went to the Rarame mountain on a small island. It's a jungle covered island and it is government reserve, people aren ...

DVD Description
The most brutal murderer the word has ever known isn’t one of the famous cases of the 20th Century; he is Sawney Bean, born more than 400 years ago and aided by a family that was as vicious and evil. Today, the clan live on, dwelling in caves, preying on holidaymakers that pass by.
