Blade was first released in 1998, directed by Stephen Norrington, and starring Wesley Snipes as a half human half vampire, who's mission is to slay all the bad vampires of the world. When I first saw this film I loved it, I was a big fan of the comic books, and watching a big screen adaptation was just well worth the wait. I thought snipes was a brilliant actor to play blade, having seen his early films i.e. passenger 57, and demolition man, this guy is a awesome martial arts expert and can kick ass. If I was to explain Blade to anyone who hasn't seen it, I would describe it as a more violent, intense and action packed Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Plot:
The film starts off really well; a young man is taken into a secret underground nightclub. At first he thinks everything is cool, then gradually realises this is not the sort of club ...

Blade is the first in a series of a trilogy of films it tells the story of how blade was born (the super hero vampire slayer from marvel comics) and how he becomes what he is a daywalker a being with vampire abilities but one that can walk in the sun and has no weaknesses ,he works with his friend who helps him build weapons to fight the vampires ad also produces a drug to sedate his urges to kill himself this particular film sees a new vampire looking to be in charge and also wanting blades abilitys, never fear though blade knows what hes up to and sets out to turn him to dust
I have really enjoyed all three of the films all starring Wesley snipes,he plays the cool collected blade memorably and makes it a compelling movie to watch. The soundtrack and special effects are top notch and the whole cast keeps you wanting more luckily they ...

Advantages: Wesley Snipes, loads of blood and action Disadvantages: Not for the squeamish
I love films with Wesley Snipes and when this came out on DVD I just had to have it! Hubby is used to my penchant for vampire films and just did the right thing by keeping quiet and letting me have my way. I'm sure you all know me well enough by now - if it comes in the genre of horror then I will want to watch it!
So we bought this and it had been sitting for a while so we decided that we would watch it last night. Tonight it is one of the sequels (a review will follow!).
***Synopsis***
Blade (Snipes) is a man who is different from other mortals. He is half man, half vampire. His mother was bitten by a vampire when she was pregnant and the "virus" transferred to him while he was still in the womb. She died giving birth, and he was left all alone. Later on in Blade's life he meets Whistler (Kris Kristofferson) who takes ...
