Baby no. 4, Peter George Clare arrived on the 4th march 2003 weighing 6lb 140z. He is absolutely gorgeous but very time consuming so I won`t be writing again for quite a while.

Never before have I seen a film that has done the book justice. The Green Mile was adapted from the book with the same title written by Stephen King. Because I had read the book first, quite some time ago, I wasn`t expecting it to be that good even though I`d read some great reviews about it.
Death row is known as the long mile, but because this row had green flooring it was named the green mile.
The leading actors in this film are Tom Hanks who plays the character Paul Edgecomb, Michael Clarke Duncan( John Coffey), Sam Rockwell ( Wild Bill), Michael Jeter (Edward Delacroix), Doug Hutchinson (Percy Wetmore), and David Morse (Brutus"brutal"Howel).
John Coffey, the very lovable, gigantic black man, is sentenced to death row for the murder of two little girls. This was the only character who was not as I pictured him in my mind.
Paul Edgecomb is the warden in control of death row and works alongside Percy Wetmore and Brutal.
It becomes apparent very early on in the film, that Coffey has some very special powers. From the way he uses them, Edgecomb believes that he is innocent of the crime that he was sentenced for.
Coffey also helps to cure the govenor`s wife of cancer as well as having revenge on warden Percy Wetmore, who is a nasty piece of work.
Edward Delacroix, another inmate, becomes attached to a mouse that has found it`s way into the row, and names him Mr Jingles. The scenes with the mouse are pretty funny, as he can do tricks and manages to scare the wits out of the evil Percy.
Wild Bill is the really evil inmate who pulls off some disgusting pranks against the wardens, some of these are hilarious.
I won`t tell you who did kill the girls, although it`s pretty much obvious from the middle of the film, and I won`t tell you the ending, except to say that it almost had me in tears because it was so sad.
The acting was exceptional and the storyline is different from most horror type films, at least I think it`s classed as horror although I wouldn`t really call it that. There aren`t really that many special effects, but this film doesn`t need them.
This isn`t one of my better opinions because I don`t do film reviews, but this one was just so good that I had to write about it. If you haven`t seen it yet, then do, you won`t regret it.

Being a lad of high authority, this film still made me feel upset and distressed when Jon Coffy walked the green mile, it felt like a member of the family had died, tears came to my eyes... Your review is top notch!, it brought back memories! Stay healthy -Mark aka Kingtemple 'esquire :)
