Review of Days Of Glory (DVD)

Cult Classic: Glory Days 2

Advantages: Fast paced action with strategy elements, FUN
Disadvantages: Nothing major

Whether you own a DS or not, chances are that you have NOT heard of Glory Days 2 (GD2). It is not exactly the most publicised nor best selling of games on the DS. According to Amazon's sales rank, GD2 is 2601th on the list of bestselling games on all platforms. Compare that with Brain Training (13th on ALL platforms) and 42 All Time Classics (21st) and you get the picture that GD2 is not exactly in the mainstream. I stumbled upon this game by chance whilst browsing in a high street store. Personally I find that a huge chunk of DS games do not appeal to me. GD2 seemed a departure from the normal offerings of brain training style games and children's games- I'm not keen on "The Whitaker Family Presents: Horse Life" or even better "Build a Bear"? 911 Heaven

Advantages: True Drivers Car
Disadvantages: Doesn't suffer fools

Over the years I have owned two 911's, so I thought that you might like to know a bit more about these road rockets and what they are like to own. Both of mine were supplied by my local Porsche dealer, it is very important with these cars that you buy them from a reputable source - particularly older models - there are a lot of horror stories out there and it is easy to be bitten if you are not careful. There have been many variants of the 911 over the years so it is vital that you read up on them (there are loads of books available) and that you know what you want and match it to your budget before you start. Finally, service history is crucial with Porsches. Don't touch one that doesn't have FPSH in the description. Aside from anything else, you will find it difficult to sell-on later.
