Well…just imagine it!!! School kids in school with high hormonal drives, wanting to explore the opposite
sex or maybe even the same sex!! I'm sure we have all had those "teenage" moments regardless of how we may perceive it…
NOW imagine a high school boy who is say a bit of a nerd, one of the ones that may not get the girl they want but let's say maybe desire. This story evolves around the "guy" who does get a girl a beautiful one in fact (she's not that beautiful I think, but in the high school sense of way she is to the guys that is) However there's a bit of a twist little does he know, but she is actually a porn star. She's the girl that recently moved next door hence the film name "The Girl Next Door"
Love gradually happens to Matthew Kidman the boy in the film, only at this time he doesn't know she's a pornstar, I wonder just how long she can keep her secret for? And the question of when, not if when Matt finds out about it, especially as his best mate likes to watch a bit of the porn movies…you can guess that one out for yourselves As the two both get closer, it sparkles more involvement between the two and his friends become envious.
However when it is accidentally revealed about her status as a porn star from a adult film discovered by his best mate - yeah you guessed it, Matthew gets upset and talks to her about it, with no success, Elisha says that its part of her live and that she has no way out. Her pimp tries to stir her way from Matt.
Basically to sum up the girl next door tells the story of boy falling in love with a pornstar, despite the consequences and the fun and humours that comes along with it.

I wasn't very interested in watching this film to be honest with you, but was encouraged and decided to sit down and watch it with my mum and fellow siblings. Having a read though the plotline it didn't really interest me a lot. It just appeared to be silly. But thought oh well nothing else to do that Monday evening lets see what this film is about then.

As previously mentioned I wasn't very keen on the film and my thoughts were confirmed after about 45 minutes into the film. The plotline was silly - so she was a porn star. Some parts of the plotline didn't add up. The plotline is just basically boy meets girl falls in love and that girl is a porn star. He gives up his secure college life for her and there is a question as to what will he do next, how will they live, how will people react after discovering her profession. There could possibility be a sequel to the film, you never know.

This wasn't all that great a movie, I would have preferred something more original that would be more humorous with a better plot such as American pie or even scary movie!!! However I would say that it might appeal more to young boys, taking into consideration the pornography features and innuendos within the film.
For me thought its not something I would really watch again a no go.
However after reading this review you decide it is something you want to see it can be purchased at places like:

It costs about £6,00 to buy and probably can be rented out from blockbusters as well or somewhere if you don't want to purchase the film. THANKS FOR READING MY REVIEW!!!

Advantages: easy to watch,good cast performances,enjoyable for both guys and girls,not too seedy Disadvantages: not everyone's cup of tea as it is mainly aimed at teens.
