...oscar for his role as the deputy and Harrison Ford is brilliant as Dr Kimble. It's a fast paced, intelligent film which keeps you on the edge of your seat until the end.
Unfortunately I was quite disappointed in this blue ray presentation. The picture quality is dull and the colours are not as crisp as I expected. Some of the darker scenes are impoved but still look a bit grainy,
The audio is quite good and an improvement on the original dvd which ...

...I can't really comment on Harrison Ford's performance in Star Wars since believe it or not I'' not a Star Wars fan. Sci-Fi, Star Trek yep but Star Wars………SORRY.
As to his other performances I've seen pretty much all of them and have concluded like millions of other movie goers that he is without doubt one of the greatest actors of his generation. His appeal is widespread, as are the roles he has played. So when this DVD of The Fugitive came out I was enthralled to watch it. Being in my early **ty's I am lucky enough to be able remember the original TV series starring David Janson, which in itself was great TV. This more modern version is the same story with some outstanding performances.
There are very few times whilst watching movies that I actually want to jump into the screen and help out. Watching the Fugitive again I...

...What would you do if you were accused of the murder of your loving wife which you did not commit and then you had the chance to do a jail break? Me being me would probably get caught in the first five minutes or probably wouldn’t even go, even if I was innocent, but the fugitive does, and he does it well.
The fugitive is an excellent little film, and I can’t believe I hadn’t seen it earlier. It’s now 9 years old and I only got my first viewing of it last night when a mate lent me the DVD. If your in the same boat as I was and haven’t seen this yet and like your action/thriller movies, this is one I would recommend you dig out of the bargain bin in woolies, or even buy yourself a copy on DVD, even if it does come in one of those horrible cardboard boxes! It’s referred to as one of the best action movies of the decade, the decade being...

DVD Description
In this near-perfect suspense movie adapted from the popular 1960s television series that starred David Janssen, renowned vascular surgeon Dr. Richard Kimble (Harrison Ford) has been falsely accused and convicted--on circumstantial evidence--of his wife's (Sela Ward) murder. While Kimble is being transported to prison, another convict stabs an inattentive guard, causing a massive wreck. Kimble escapes but is hunted by tough U.S. marshal Sam Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones). The fugitive from injustice attempts to set the record straight: He transforms himself into a jack-of-all-trades and a man of a thousand faces in a desperate attempt to uncover the truth about his wife's murder and track down the real killer. Spectacular special effects and a pulse-pounding performance by Ford turned Andrew Davis's thrilling film into a blockbuster at the box office, leading to a sequel, U.S. MARSHALS.
