Advantages: Great performances and stirring action sequences Disadvantages: A lengthy running time
Edward Norton stars as an insurance underwriter who is depressed at the lack of stimulation in his life and finds himself suffering from depression and insomnia. Surrounding himself with unneccessary support groups, he comes across Marla, who also attends the groups with no reason to be there. They forge an unlikely relationship where they decide to split the support groups down the middle during a witty and barbed conversation. When he finds himself homeless after an apparent explosion in his flat, he calls upon new friend Tyler Durden for somewhere to doss down. This soon leads to a strange but ultimately uplifting violent interaction, which effectively becomes the basis of their cult-like gatherings known simply as Fight Club. The gatherings take on a militia-style format and soon spread through the country. But as it takes ...

besides.
Just over 2 hours long, it was quite an enjoyable film, one for the whole family, no smutty innuendo’s, no sexy scenes, no blood and gore, just some good clean family entertainment, it reminded me of Sister Act 2, if you liked that kind of film then this is for you, although I probably wouldn’t rush to add to my DVD collection, I would watch it again and probably enjoy although I do intend to purchase the soundtrack with Gospel, R&B, Rap and a bit of Rock n Roll thrown in, I know it’s a must.
Jonathan Lynn (The Whole Nine Yards, My Cousin Vinny, Greedy) directed the film and as far as I can tell, he could have done better, the characters could have gelled together more and there were opportunities for more laughter but it just never came but as I said before it was entertaining but no deep thought is required to ...
One my favourite films in the whole world has to be Fight Club. There's only one thing thats better than Fight Club on video...............Fight Club on DVD. The DVD is bursting with extras, but first a note on the film itself.
Fight Club is a film unlike any other. It is unique, and it like no other film manages to capture its audience. It could change your life (maybe that’s a little over the top), but it does make you think. Not in the way that Schindlers' List makes you sad, this film makes you question modern culture, and the life we all live.
'You are not the contents of your wallet'
The film is based on the book of the same name, written by Chuck Palahniuk. I haven't yet read the book, but intend to do so as soon as possible. I completely missed the film at the cinemas. I saw the trailers, and was interested ...
