Advantages: A timeless classic of a Teen Slasher film Disadvantages: None that I can think of
With today being Halloween I thought that I'd write a nice topical review of one of my favourite horror films of all time, this of course being John Carpenter's 'Halloween', a film that I'm sure most of you have seen by now given that it tends to be shown on one channel or another pretty much every year. Tonight the film can be found on BBC1 at a quarter to midnight, so for those of you that have not yet seen the film then there is no excuse not to now. While researching on the internet to see if the version that I have of the DVD is still available, I found that it was actually deleted a couple of months back. Advantages: great acting, and special effects Disadvantages: none
My husband and me decided to rent a DVD out from blockbusters. I saw this film and really wanted to watch it, as I had enjoyed most of the others. My husband took quite a bit of convincing to get this, as he said once you have seen one you have seen them all. The power of a woman's persuasion soon won him over and he got the film loll.
The plot
-------------
Young Michael Myers is a sick child, who first starts out by killing small defenceless animals and keeping photos of them. He then starts on bigger things like his family, all except his mother and baby sister, after the killings he is committed to Smith's Grove Sanatorium. After being there for roughly 17 years under the care of Doctor Loomis, he manages to escape and returns to his hometown of Haddonfield in search of one of the only people he has ever cared about, his baby ...
