The Fast and the Furious is about cars… fast cars. This however isn’t all the film is about as it manages to have a good plot too. Most of does revolve around cars to its advantage.
The plot centres on a group, led by Dominic "Dom" Toretto (Vin Diesel) that race high performance cars on the streets of Los Angeles. It is suspected that some of the group are hi-jacking trucks and stealing millions of pounds in DVD players and other valuables. To track down the truth an undercover cop Officer Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) infiltrates the group as Brian Earl Spilner. The plot is complicated when the cop falls in love with Dom’s sister.
The acting is excellent from all involved considering most of them are relatively unknown. Paul walker does a brilliant job as the undercover cop. He manages to appear convincing in the car scenes and stunts. Vin Diesel is superb and manages to give a great performance. He too looks great behind the wheel of the fast cars. He has proved that he is truly and up-and-coming star. All the other cast are less significant but still give individually great performances.
This is and action movie and the action certainly doesn’t disappoint. The car chases and stunts are simply mind-blowing. The car racing scenes are superbly filmed and show the pure speed of the vehicles. The scenes where the trucks are stolen while moving…yes you read right, while moving are simply incredible. One of the best stunts is when a car moves right underneath a lorry and out the other side at high speed. There are also crashes, jumping from moving vehicles not to mention guns and explosions just for good measure.
If you like cars then go seen this film. If you like action movies then go and see this film. Ok I think what I am trying to say is go and see this film because it different from the usual blockbuster it has a gritty dark edge. Give it a go and see for yourself.

Advantages: Cars, women, great stunts, fights and a great plot. Disadvantages: Maybe a slighty worn out genre, but still great. The ending could be better! Though I won't go into that and spoil it!
Advantages: Back to the cruising scene with great cars, great sound systems and great girls. Action packed Disadvantages: It's not as good as Fast and Furious, poor acting, unrealistic story
