The Exorcist was done in 1973 by William Friedkin, based on a novel by William Peter Blatty. We are slowly introduced to the point of the story, as we watch a young girl (Reagan), being possessed by the Devil himself. She becomes strange and aggressive to everyone around her, but in fact she's only fighting inside her own soul for an apparently impossible way to escape from the terrible possessing she's in! Her mother's hope lies in an old Father, whose experiences are many and vast. He is the only one able to perform an exorcism and save the child!
The Exorcist is a classic in its genre, not just because of the fact that it has a great story but also perfect representations. This film explores a new kind of horror, through a great cast of characters, such as Linda Blair, as the young and extremely beautiful possessed child. The movie presents a strong language and body expressions, significantly related with Devil's essence, which horrifyied most of the watchers in that time, causing a lot of polemic issues to arise! Maybe that helped the director to be awarded with a "classic" in that genre. In summary, watching this movie will surely scare you and make you a lot more religious! Linda Blair got shocked by her own movie, and so I wonder what will happen to you! ;) Surrender yourself to this ever-living classic! Go see it now!!!

Advantages: Damn scary, intelligent and very well made for a horror film Disadvantages: A little difficult to take the rotating head seriously i'm afraid!
