Eight Below & Snow Dogs
I bought Snow Dogs on video years ago when it first came out and really enjoyed it so when I saw the 2 piece set of this and the new similar film on DVD I went and bought it from play.com as I already wanted to replace my old copy of Snow Dogs with a DVD so this was the best reason to do so.

Eight Below is a Disney action film, released in 2006, which tells the story of a group of huskies who are left to fend for themselves through the harsh Antarctic winter and their handler who is fighting to be able to return to collect them. Advantages: Seagal is surprisingly good. Disadvantages: An "Eco-Thriller"?!
Surely with all this "Save the Planet" fixation in the media these days, it wouldn't be so criminal (as it seemed it once was) to watch Steven Seagal's 1997 "Eco-Thriller". Despite its reputation, Fire Down Below really isn't that bad a film.
Seagal is Jack Taggart, an agent of the Environmental Protection Agency. Kris Kristofferson soon becomes the target as the crooked businessman, who has been using abandoned mines to dump toxic waste. Getting to him requires Seagal to arse-whip a host of dirty yokels, and then deliver an ecological message in the church to let everyone know that pissing with the environment is an absolute no-no.
OK, so it may not sound like the most exciting synopsis ever, but at least Seagal shows a genuine affection for the issues that many of us choose to ignore. Surprisingly, he comes across as a nice guy ...
