You do not need a computer, but it will play in it if you did, all you need is a tv and dvd player and most households have one these days.
With over 1000 questions, and up to about 8 different categories to choose from (sci-fi, horror, classics etc) it is very engaging, the disc loads relatively quickly and the options are easy to understand.

I was bought this DVD game for Christmas, and I have to say its only the 2nd DVD interactive game i've ever owned.

I'm not sure why Empire, being a fantastic magazine, put its name to a product that, for them, would be considered sub standard. There is a sense that, since the premier film magazine in the country has its name to it, it must be good. Don't believe that!
All that said, if your up for a little fun, it will kill a good half hour for you but don't expect it to be as well used as your trivial pursuit game or indeed scrabble and monopoly!!!
From as little as £5 on Amazon Marketplace, it may be worth a go, but certainly no more, and not up to the highest price I found of £`15.99
