American Soldiers - A Day In Iraq

Advantages: full of action, real life story, very cheap
Disadvantages: no extra's on the DVD

I'm a big fan of military films and I was excited when I spotted this online for £3.99 (thank you play.com). This film tells a real life story of a group of American soldiers who were on a "normal" sortie in Iraq back in 2004. This isn't your typical Gulf war film though, you don't see the aircraft or any other air support and there's no bombs or an easy way out when the going gets tough. Nor was it one "the" big movies when it came out but all the same this is a quality film about a real story. The film follows a group of soldiers on just one of their long days fighting insurgents. The combat/shooting scenes are numerous as you would expect but in this film everything is very realistic. As well as following the American soldiers it also shows you their involvement with the Iraq police force and how they come together to fight ...

Advantages: makes you tired
Disadvantages: bad graphics,boring,slow,makes you want to smash it up

dragon wars is the worst film i have ever seen! its all about an old man who asks this boy to find a girl who is enchanted or something and has mystical powers,she is the girl who will bring a magical dragon from heaven to fight the evil dragon.at the end the girl dies but it is a very poor ending and the film tried to be a sob story,but frankly,its a load of cheap ,low budget rubbish. there are some scenes that dont make sense,for example when the guy gets shot head on and he just gets up and walks away,and when the guy unleashed a power and it burned everything around him ,but his ropes were still tied up,then he runs to the girl. it really is the most terrible movie ive ever seen,would never watch it again. ...

Dog Soldiers

Advantages: Action Packed, Funny, Exciting and Tense
Disadvantages: Werewolf's weren't 100%, but nothing really.

I’m sure many of you will have different opinions; nevertheless I have to say before Dog Soldiers, I had never seen a werewolf movie I really enjoyed: ‘Ginger Snaps’ didn’t do it for me, I thought ‘Brotherhood of the Wolf’ wasn’t great and I noticed the age in ‘An American Werewolf in London/Paris’. I first saw Dog Soldiers round a friends mid Last year, the very next week I brought it for myself on DVD. It is simply brilliant, best described as addictive and it is one of those films you can watch over and over again, still getting the same amount of excitement you received from the first time you watched it!
