Advantages: Hilarious Comedy Disadvantages: Not long enough!!
...Goldie Hawn in one of her finest movies, if you like the films such as bird on a wire and private benjamin you will love this.
Goldie Hawn plays a very spoilt monied woman and Kurt Russell plays a lowly carpenter. He is employed by her temporarily aboard her private yacht, then she refuses to pay for the work.
Its later that night that Goldie Hawn falls overboard, losing her memory that Kurt Russell then claims her as his own, in order to recieve services for monies owed!!! Services that include being wife and mother to his four badly behaved chldren.
A very witty story line unfolds with rib ticklers provided by Goldie, Kurt, Kids and pets!!
It had me in stitches from the start and as a Goldie Hawn fan, it didn't disappoint. Kurt Russell is brilliant as always and provides the handsome charmer a film needs.

Advantages: Dark, mysterious, and very compelling drama Disadvantages: Sometimes moves a little too slowly
...If you have never watched an episode of Carnivale, and are wondering if the purchase of this DVD set would be a waste of your money, wonder no longer. IT WILL NOT BE.
For such a strange show, with such an odd lot of characters and such bizarre things going on, it's really a wonder that it is so captivating. But it is. It's a show about a traveling carnival in the 30s (called Carnivale, rhyming -- sort of -- with "aren't we all"). It's a real freak show, complete with conjoined twins, a snake charmer, a mind reader (in a vegetative state), a midget, a telepathic blind man, and... Nick Stahl.
With all those colorful people, it's Stahl's character the show really centers around. His, and a minister named Brother Justin who has (apparently) no connection with the carnival, who lives in a small Texas town with his sister.

Advantages: Fun, humourous and entertaining film Disadvantages: Slightly overlong and stretches the truth liberally
...and manages to create a fake pilot's licence. I also enjoyed Abagnale's miraculous escape from capture during the hotel scene with Hanratty. Having read the book, this film adaptation does stretch the truth quite a lot, but this only helps to fasten the pace of the film.
The best performances for me go to DiCaprio and Walken, as Abagnale Jnr and Snr. DiCaprio is the perfect fit for the cocky charmer that is Abagnale, while Walken plays the role of the concerned father well. The film is beautifully shot, with the luscious palm trees and gorgeus scenery evoking a forgotten past, with the music, including Frank Sinatra's classic 'Fly Away With Me' contributing to this. The film's opening credits also give a feeling of 'cool' which is echoed throughout the film. Catch Me If You Can was a huge success at the box office, in comparison to Di...
