Most drivers are dying to help them out, and those who don't wind up as living guinea pigs in grisly brain experiments. In THE LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE, the wealthy owner of a haunted mansion believes his home (which has been dubbed Hell House due to a history of bizarre happenings therein) might provide the answer to the phenomenon of life after death. To prove his theory, he enlists the help of four brave psychic investigators whom, to acquire the situation in its entirety, set up residence in the dark and mysterious abode. Soon after, the team are nearly driven to insanity as they slowly begin to discover how the mansion got its gloomy moniker. ...is it any good?
House of Wax is not a remake of the 1953 film of the same name starring Vincent Price, it just borrows the title. In this film its pretty run of the mill teen horror stuff. A bunch of young peeps including Carly (Elisha Cuthbert), her boyfriend Wade (Jared Padalecki), her brother Nick (Chad Michael Murray), best friend Paige (Paris Hilton) and two others are setting off the 'big game', something to do with football apparently so it must be thrilling, however on their way they have a run in with a mysterious truck driver and the next morning after camping out Dalton's car is busted. So what are teens do to? Well they split up obviously. Carly and her boyfriend soon stumble upon a very deserted looking village which, of course, they have to explore instead of running like hell. Unluckily for them it's not as deserted...

...House Of Wax follows 6 youngsters on a road trip to go and see an important football game. They take a short cut and end up camping. The next morning Wade has a few car troubles and decides to walk to the local town to find a garage while his friends carry on with thier plans to go to the football game. His girlfriends stays with him and they go on to the village. The others, after missing half of the game due to traffic decide to go back to collect Wade and Carly. Then One by one they begin falling pray to two murderous wax sculpters.
Although this film is quite gory I loved it! It is one of the best horror films I've ever seen. It wasn't greatly scary but an enjoyable chase with a few twists in the plot.
The cast is great too. I expected Paris Hilton's acting to be slightly dry but I thought she did great along with Chad Michael...
