Advantages: A fast moving film that does not give you a chance to forget you are interested. Disadvantages: It is a lot more realistic than many of its type.

...A superb action movie, with a range of action-orientated events from car chases to fights to just plain shooting people, The Bourne Identitiy is one of the best in the genre.
The subtle mystery that continues through the film only adds to the atmosphere of Bourne's situation. The performances and story-line are difficult to compare to most recent films and, although in an over-populated genre, this film really does stand out beyond most and is one that you could watch over and over with car chases using a mini, fight scenes with pens and, of course, no actino film is one without explosions.
Although no movie is ever 5 stars, technically speaking, The BourneIdentity definately comes closer to it than most modern action films....

With nothing but this code, the amnesiac Bourne travels to Zurich and gains access to a safe-deposit box containing a gun, thousands of dollars in various currencies, and valid passports from numerous countries - each listing a different identity. Within minutes, Bourne is on the run from a seemingly ever-present agency, relying on language and fighting skills he didn't even know he possessed. Offering twenty thousand dollars for a ride to Paris, Bourne gains the reluctant help of the nomadic Marie (Franka Potente). Meanwhile, the shadowy organization, headed by a tough-talking bureaucrat (Chris Cooper), sends numerous assassins (including the Professor, played by Clive Owen) after Bourne and Marie. Damon, who displays genuine bewilderment as his character discovers his almost-superhuman abilities, anchors the proceedings with the subtle charm of an unlikely action hero. Potente also shines as Bourne's road companion, a savvy woman who slowly builds an utterly believable relationship with the confused man. Bearing distinct affinity for its European setting and classic Hollywood suspense films, THE BOURNE IDENTITY succeeds as an unusually smart character-driven thriller.

...i thought the bourne ultimate has now been run out as a series of movies. even though matt damon is a good actor he has played jason bourne to death. i thought that bourne ultimate was all seen before and should not be repeated. i was bored after around 45 mins of this film and was eager to turn it off. the jump from part 1 to part 3 was too big. jason went from a lost puppy to a tiger in too much of a quick time. they should have kept it as a search for his identity with different twists and turns through out the series of movies. i dont think jason was bourne he was thrown out into the world. in the end my thoughts were bored.bored.bored...

Advantages: Very good, inticing, action. Disadvantages: The plot can confuse you.
...The BourneIdentity and Supremacy are great films. I have watched them both and have them on DVD. The action and cleverness of the plot is great and keeps you interrested but it can get very confusing, and sometimes you have to read between the lines or put things together yourself which is sometimes hard.
The characters are great and well acted, and the storyline is very inventive. Well worth watching, over and over.
