Advantages: Superb cat-and-mouse thriller, with outstanding performances
Disadvantages: A bit long, won't satisfy fans of Ludlom's novel

Ah, the spy. Bane of all European would-be dictators and cat stroking baldies the world over, they slip in and out of rooms (and women) undetected, with nary a scratch on their pristine hides or a ruffle in their slicked-back hair. “I expect you to perish!” scream the enemies whilst women cream their gusset after seeing men being beaten to death. The Bourne Identity is a film from the first of three books written by Robert Ludlum about CIA agent Jason Bourne. Ludlum, who has written nearly two dozen best sellers, was also the Executive Producer for the film. The film is directed by Doug Liman who has Swingers and Go under his belt. ...of the plot without ruining the whole movie for you. The simple plot does not make the movie boring though. Quite the contrary. There are lots of things going on in the movie, some of which still intrigue and if I'm honest, puzzle me a bit. Days after watching this film I am still piecing little bits together.
