.....because, frankly, who the hell dunnit? I mean, is everyone else who saw this farrago either smarter or dumber than me?
I have replayed the closing few minutes (described by at least two reviewers in the mainstream press as 'a shattering revelation') several times, and I still don't get it. Did the chap who threw away the map get the others? And if so, why?
If not, who the hell did? Was the chap in the plaid jacket in the last scene before everything went still taking a leak, hanging, waiting for a bus, what?
The conclusion, whatever it was meant to 'reveal', fell flat because the rest of the movie, which led to the dull denouement, promised much. Some agency, after all, had to be responsible for building of those funeral cairns, and the construction of those arboreal meccano-models, seen hanging in the trees. And if the disappearance of the chap who threw the map away was a red-herring, and the 'real' culprit was about to reveal itself ; or the map-thrower was the perpetrator, why?

Sorry but you dont really talk about the film as a whole. And you also give away the ending, which is not a brilliant idea- give some details about the whole plot, but not the ending. x

Advantages: Truly frightening, psychological rather than obvious. Some good extras, and the inclusion of the documentary is great. Interesting commentary Disadvantages: Some may find the lack of any real "evidence" of supernatural activity anoying. DVD extras shattered a couple of my illusions!
Advantages: Comedy, bad horror if you like that type of thing, good excuse for Christmas wrapping. Disadvantages: Boring, Unrealistic, Poor acting, B Type Movie
