Abraham as their founder and their 'Father in Faith; a great prophet who suffered and fought for his faith and spirituality. Richard Harris (Harry Potter films, Gladiator, Patriot Games, Camelot) is commanding in the title performance as he submits to God's great trials. Barbara Hershey (Lantana, Tin Men, Hannah & Her Sisters) sensitively plays the role of the beautiful but tragically infertile Sara, tempted and tested by the Pharoah played by Maximilian Schell (Deep Impact, Players, Odessa File). This three-hour epic production re-tells one of the greatest stories from the Bible as Abraham stands firm thanks to his incredible courage and trust in God's promise that ...in thee shall all families of the Earth be blest (Genesis 12. 2-3).

reviled figures. How did a man who was a follower and disciple of Jesus - a humble, generous, committed, unselfish, intelligent and loving man - betray his own leader and Messiah? What motivated Judas Iscariot to do what he did?Mary:Cast out and disowned by her husband, brutalised by Roman soldiers and searching for love and redemption, this is the story of one of the greatest Christian enigmas. Described by many as a seductress or witch, this magnificent film tells how Mary Magdalene (screen siren Maria Grazia Cucinotta) was also a healer and politician.Thomas:This innovative new film gives a new dimension to the man who was also known as 'The Twin' and was a great believer and disciple of Jesus. Thomas' life sees the impact of Jesus Christ through a fresh pair of eyes and the dramatic events that unfold before and after the death of Jesus.Joseph:Follow the life-story of Joseph of Nazareth, Mary's husband. With lives caught between the collision of the paranoid and evil King Herod and the dominant Roman Empire of Caesar Augustus. When i first bought this film and took it home and watched it i didn't think much to it at first, the video effects arn't great and since its an old film the quality compared to that of todays film isn't great either. But watch it all the way through and you'll never imagine the story accounted in the book of genesis in the same way again.
For anyone interested in buying this film, it is well worth watching.
Advantages: Brilliant direction Disadvantages: They missed off half of Brain Stew/Jaded
I attended the actual gig myself in Milton Keynes and it was amazing !!! There were over 65 thousand people that attended over two nights - Green Days biggest yet.
I waited for this CD/DVD to come out very impatiently as I couldnt wait to reminise. Once purchased, i immediately put into my DVD player to watch. This is a documentary/ concert. In between each song, the band speak for a couple of minutes about various things relating to American Idiot. Although it is very interesting and knowledgeable, I think it ruins the flow of the concert and can be a little disheartening. Also, I feel once you have watched in this format a couple of times, you don't need to hear the "facts and figures", you just want to get along with the concert.
The songs chosen for the DVD were suited to mainstream and maybe not the hardcore Green Day fans as such ...
Advantages: GREAT STOCKING FILLER - FUNNY - IDEAL FOR FOOTBALL FANS Disadvantages: COULD ADD ANOTHER 20 CLIPS
I had this DVD for Christmas and I must say I didn't really see it advertised so as you can guess I was suprised when I opened the packaging to find it was an Ian Wright DVD. At first I thought it was going to be tons of mishaps by fellow Arsenal team mates or from the times when he was playing but I must admit it had clips that I can't even remember happening which made me giggle.
Ian Wright: It Shouldn't Happen To A Footballer is a DVD which consists of funny comical clips of footballers basically making a fool of themselves whether it is clear through on goal and whistling it wide or falling over trying to do a complex trick.
All the clips are chosen by US .. general football fans thanks to the football magazine Four Four Two (must say I've only read it a few times but it seems to be a football fans bible...)
