The Beautiful Aquarium Fish The Movie

Advantages: enjoyable for both kids and adults
Disadvantages: sharks a little scary for younger kids

...My husband and I try to take our kids to see all the kid movies and I have to say that this one was definitely one of the funniest that I have seen in a long time. It actually had us laughing aloud throughout most of the movie and our kids absolutely loved it. Ellen DeGeneres was the voice of Dory the female fish who could not remember anything from one minute to the next and she made the movie, she was fantastic. The story line as with all Pixar movies was that of the best, they truly have some extremely creative and imaginative writers writing there story lines. Starting out with a tragic story of losing a family and only one surviving egg who the surviving father names Nemo after the mother fish wanted. Then the over protectiveness of the father causes the fish to stray off and get picked up by snorkelers and taken to a fish aquarium... Read review

Advantages: Lots of politically incorrect humour, toilet gags
Disadvantages: Only 85 minutes long, humour may offend some people

...in which Deuce's "normal" life changes dramatically. The Mailbu apartment is owned by a handsome man called Antoine Laconte who is a world class gigolo. Deuce so much wants to be like Antoine with his fancy cars, beautiful women and, most importantly for Deuce, a state of the art aquarium. One of Antoine’s fish (a very expensive one) comes down with a potentially fatal gill disorder. The fish needs looking after but Antoine has to go abroad on business so he asks Deuce if he will stay at his apartment and care for the sick fish until he gets back. He tells Deuce two things he must not under any circumstances answer his phone and don’t drive his car - if he wants to stay alive that is!!! Advantages: Funniest disney film ever made - perfect for big kids.
Disadvantages: might be a bit soppy for any hard nosed cynics out there

...home. Meanwhile Nemo is making friends in the aquarium which is stacked with a host of other fish and aquatic life. They hatch various escape plans lead by the enigmatic angel fish [voiced by willam dafoe] and spend their days watching the dentist and commenting on his dental technique and tools used. These escape plans are very clever and have to be seen to be believed. Even the dentist is a wonderful character, full of Australian charm and constantly bamboozled by his aquarium full of would-be escapees. This is a great film with lots of wonderful characters, my favourite being the ancient sea turtle [“120 years young, dude”] who is the embodiment of a surfer dude and I believe is voiced by a scriptwriter on the movie.Dory [voiced by ellen degeneres]is also a great new character and the segment of the story where she tries to speak...
