Willy Jack waits in the car park and Novalee goes in. On using the lavatory and paying for a purchase, Novalee comes across her most unlucky number......5. You see for Novalee, everytime the number 5 comes up, something bad happens and sure enough, this time is no exception to the rule. When Novalee goes outside to the car, she finds that it's gone and so is Willy Jack. He's abandoned her and gone to Vegas leaving a nine month pregnant Novalee to fend for herself.
