The budget allows for little special FX. A circular saw and nail gun attack have never looked so bloodless. Possibly the worst of the series ( 8 in all ) "The Amityville Curse" has little to offer anyone. My advice, skip it, even if you loved the others, and the book that this was based ... Read review
Production Year: 2000 - Horror - Director: Keenen Ivory Wayans - Original Language: English - Classification: 18 years and over - Starring: Carmen Electra, Anna Faris, Kurt Fuller, James Van Der Beek, Keenen Ivory Wayans
Advantages: None to mention Disadvantages: Weak plot, with little to do with the other movies
What the hell? What has this got to do with the rest of the series? You know what they say about real estate: Location. Location, location, but this is the wrong bloody house! Ok so it's a haunted house in Amityville, but it has absolutely nothing to do with the original house referred to in the rest of the series. So we don't get the house…well that's just great! Of course they know nothing of the horrors which have happened there, well actually, nothing happened there, it happened in a nearby church. Anyway 12 years earlier a priest who owned the house was shot during confession and now the violent forces which killed him are about to be unleashed upon the occupants.
