Whilst looking for a house to buy (Maybe the real Amityville house- we don't know) a couple take a wrong turn and on the strength of a feeling, possibly indigestion, they buy a run-down slut of a house, and invite all their psychic chums around to renovate the place. What we get instead of the house is a cheap and nasty production, which doesn't even try and hide the fact that this is a no budget straight to video affair.

And the plot - what do they think we're stupid or something? Whilst looking for a house to buy (Maybe the real Amityville house- we don't know) a couple take a wrong turn and on the strength of a feeling, possibly indigestion, they buy a run-down slut of a house, and invite all their psychic chums around to renovate the place. Of course they know nothing of the horrors which have happened there, well actually, nothing happened there, it happened in a nearby church. Anyway 12 years earlier a priest who owned the house was shot during confession and now the violent forces which killed him are about to be unleashed upon the occupants.

The budget allows for little special FX. A circular saw and nail gun attack have never looked so bloodless. Possibly the worst of the series ( 8 in all ) "The Amityville Curse" has little to offer anyone. My advice, skip it, even if you loved the others, and the book that this was based upon.
