...and capable, Aki strives as Earth`s last hope against extinction. This forms the basis of the film. With the guidance of her scientific mentor, Dr. Sid, and the aid of the Deep Eyes military squadron led by the courageous Captain Gray Edwards, Aki races to save both the Earth and herself. Terminally infected by an alien, Aki holds the key to discovering the secret to defeating the alien predators. But her quest is jeopardized by the militant opposition of General Hein, who plots to unleash a massive space cannon, known as the Zeus Cannon, that will annihilate the aliens and possibly the Earth. As the clock ticks down, Aki searches within her dreams to find an answer to the alien mystery, while scouring the Earth to collect the eight spirit waves she believes will save the planet. Disadvantages: Plot

...from their cells when aliens invade this base. The phantoms kill the captain’s 3 soldiers after helping Aki, Grey and Dr. Cid to escape. They find the 8th spirit in the crater of where the meteor first hit. This spirit was in a ghost. After getting the 8th spirit Grey dies to save Aki. After this the 8 spirits join and destroy all of the Phantoms, Saving the world. I would advise you not to waste money on going to see this film as I did. I wouldn't even suggest you rent it! Wait till a mate has it and watch it with them ;)... Read review

Advantages: Brilliant Graphics. Something For Final Fantasy Collectors
Disadvantages: Not Such An Amazing Story Line.

...Now i consider myself to be a great Final Fantasy fan. I love all of the games and i am always looking for ways to part with my cash for something new to add to my collection. When I first bought Final Fantasy - The Spirits Within. I was in complete excitement to get to the T.V and watch it. I sat down and grabbed snacks and drinks. However..... to my suprise it was not all that i was hoping. It was a great experience for me being a fan but however it seemed to be a rather slow moving story. Let me begin The film started off and i was amazed by the graphics. It seemed like it was real actors. Square had done it again! I saw aki move and act and was better than any actor could have done =D haha. The film got well underway with such a good plot and its "mysterious" Dreams made us feel like something wierd was going on. Aki is out... Read review
