...Black Beauty is true to Anna Sewell's wonderful book, and the beautiful scenery and music enhance the story of Black Beauty's adventures with his friends. We laughed and cried in the same places during the movie as we did when reading the book. Thank you to all responsible for creating this movie and making one of our favorite stories come to life before our eyes! I'm not big on animal movies, especially sad ones at times. I get too emotional. But this version of Black Beauty was truly beautiful. Danny Elfman did a fabulous job with the music, as he has done in movies in the past. The cast was excellent.... Advantages: Good Acting and Interesting Characters

...Actors Ron Moody and Jack Wild play their parts very well in this memorable film. Ron Moody is truly funny and at the same time frightening with his many disguises and different characters. Jack Wild plays the compassionate and loving older brother - he loves his younger sister enough to run away to Ireland so she can be truly loved by someone: their grandmother, acted by Dorthy McGuire. They have wonderful adventures on their journey to Ireland and the scenery of Ireland is breathtaking. A nice family film that will put a smile on your face and delight the children, whatever their ages. It deserves to be in the same league as those other classic British films made for family viewing at that period in British cinema history: "Oliver!", "The Railway Children", "The Amazing Mr Blunden", "Black Beauty". ...In this epic adventure of pirates and ghosts, directed by Gore Verbinski. Jonny Depp plays the loveable Jack Sparrow, a scallywag, Ex Captain of The Black Pearl (A noble, but cursed ship.) Also Geoffrey Rush plays the evil Captain Bambosa a yellow bellied scoundrel, that had a curse put upon him and the rest of his crew by the Aztecs, for stealing their gold. You progress throught the story with Jack Sparrow, until you meet Elizabeth, Keira Knightley a beautiful and charming, daring young woman who will do any thing for the young Will Turner, son of Bill Turner or bootstrap bill to his friends. Will Turner, played by Orlando Bloom is a good swordsman and he works as a blacksmith. Jack and Will meet after Jack does something a little naughty and runs from the law, he then hides in the blacksmiths shop to get his hand cuffs off and meets... Read review
